PR&Comms Manager

Kharkiv IT Cluster is a community of 650+ technology companies and partners who have business ties to Kharkiv but influence the industry globally. Rooted in Kharkiv, expanding globally.

• You can transform an initiative into a message, an event into a newsworthy story, an idea into a column.
• You have PR experience but want to do more than “cover the area” — you want to lead it hands-on: pitching, writing, being in the field.
• We’ll provide the team — but the leading role will be yours.

This is a role for a driven mid-level specialist (or mid+) who wants to grow, keep pace, and feel their impact.

Requirements

You are definitely right for us if:

• You have 2+ years of experience in PR or communications (preferably in a technological, public or educational environment);
• You can write interestingly, in various formats and without padding;
• You understand how the media landscape works: who is best to pitch to, what interests whom;
• You have creative thinking and internal dynamics — you are not afraid to run ahead;
• You are ready for offline events — especially in Kharkiv, Kyiv, and sometimes business trips to the EU;
• You are interested in socially important projects, technologies, and education;
• You want to be part of a team, but you don't need daily instructions.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

• You will manage our PR communications: write news articles, press releases, blogs, columns, and prepare comments;
• You will be our primary contact for the media — you will initiate topics, pitch ideas, and liaise with journalists;
• Develop our news stories — don't wait for ‘something to say,’ help us create it;
• Accompany events — sometimes as an organiser, always as a communicator;
• You will work with the brand of the organisation's leader — texts, speeches, presence;
• You will lead the PR direction in the communications team — in tandem with SMM, marketing, and design;
• You will go on business trips — Kharkiv, Kyiv, Lviv, Europe — when it makes sense and is possible.

⚡️ We are not looking for a PR person ‘for support’ — we are looking for an independent communications unit that is not afraid of initiative.
