Collaboration Between Kharkiv IT Cluster and MAN

Kharkiv IT Cluster is a community dedicated to enhancing the educational potential of not only the Kharkiv region but all of Ukraine. We support young talents in shaping their future in the IT sector by creating opportunities for their professional growth and development. We firmly believe that investing in youth education is an investment in the country’s future. Therefore, we actively create opportunities for students and pupils to explore modern technologies, programming, and other key areas of digital transformation. As part of a comprehensive strategy to support education and develop human capital, the Kharkiv IT Cluster implements a broad program of collaboration with educational institutions, NGOs, and businesses. We participate in organizing and conducting contests, Olympiads, scientific conferences, hackathons, and other events that allow young people to showcase their abilities. Our efforts go beyond organizational support; we ensure access to cutting-edge technologies, involve experienced IT professionals and motivate talented participants to pursue further growth and education. Partnership with the Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (MAN) Kharkiv IT Cluster actively collaborates with the Kharkiv Regional Branch of the Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (MAN), promoting technological education among youth. This partnership enables students to study modern IT technologies, engage in scientific research, and gain valuable experience from industry experts. We support MAN’s initiatives that help develop students' talents and involve them in innovative projects.

The VIII Regional Student Scientific and Practical Conference

One of the highlights of our collaboration was the VIII Regional Student Scientific and Practical Conference, organized by the Kharkiv Regional Branch of MAN on November 16, 2024. The online event gathered students passionate about technology to present their research projects. This marks the second time the Kharkiv IT Cluster has contributed to a MAN conference, supporting talented students in their pursuit of technological development. The "Information Technologies" section served as a platform for idea exchange and discussions. The jury included:
  • Heorhii Molchanov, Java Lab Manager, EPAM Ukraine;
  • Maksym Lipchanskyi, Frontend Lab Manager, EPAM Ukraine;
  • Svitlana Iakovlieva, Education Project Manager, Kharkiv IT Cluster;
  • Olexander Suprun, Associate Professor of the Department of Media Engineering and Information Radio Electronic Systems, NURE.
Seven student projects were presented in this section, covering topics such as educational IT technologies, digital security, and radio monitoring. The conference involved 100 participants—students from grades 6–11 across general and extracurricular education institutions in the Kharkiv region. The involvement of business professionals strengthens MAN's educational initiatives by engaging IT industry experts to mentor students and provide them with valuable insights for their professional growth. In addition to evaluating the projects, representatives from EPAM Ukraine prepared gifts for the participants, encouraging them to continue studying technology and implementing their ideas. Initiatives like these not only motivate young people but also show that their efforts are recognized and valued. Kharkiv IT Cluster continually strives to make education a tool for unlocking talent and achieving ambitious goals. We create conditions where every student has access to the support needed for growth in the IT field. Collaboration between the technological business community and educational partners like MAN enables us to not only promote technological education but also cultivate a new generation of IT professionals capable of making a difference. Kharkiv IT Cluster remains a reliable partner for talented youth, helping them confidently step towards success in the world of technology.
