KHARKIV IT CLUSTER ORGANIZED THE WORKSHOP ABOUT DATA SCIENCE & BIG DATA

On May 15, Kharkiv National Automobile Highway University hosted a lecture on Data Science & Big Data for students of Kharkiv universities. It was led by Alexander Dolgarov, Chief technology officer and founder of Quantum. This is the fourth event within the Open IT project organized by Kharkiv IT Cluster which aims to show a variety of areas and IT-professions to young people. Data Science is a field that collects, processes and analyzes data. The speaker described it as a kind of mix of statistics, mathematics, programming and processes for solving problems using new methods. Alexander said that Big Data technology can be used in the process of finding the most qualitative insights for effective strategic decisions. The large volume, high speed of data growth and their diversity are three major characteristics of Big Data. Participants listened about Big Data usage in search engines on the Internet, digital advertising, advisory and financial systems. "The magnitude of the Big Data reaches the cosmic size," -  underlined Alexander Dolgarov. The next lecture within Open IT project dedicated to Embedded Systems will be held on May 22 at the Science Park Synergy based on Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics. At this event, another group of participants will receive certificates that will grant them the access to the  Junior Club. There are two more workshops within Open IT projects will be held this year: about Embedded Systems (22.05) and about the profession of DevOps (30.05).
