At the end of January, Kharkiv IT Cluster, together with the IT4Life Charity Foundation, initiated support for the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Northern Region. The IT community proposed supplying the hospital with dialysis catheters necessary for performing hemodialysis.

Hemodialysis is a procedure that effectively replaces kidney function by removing toxins and excess fluid from the blood. It requires specialized catheters—without them, connecting a patient to the dialysis machine is physically impossible. In the most critical cases, the absence of dialysis can pose a direct threat to life within just a few days.

Kharkiv IT Cluster, within the IT4Life Charity Foundation, quickly mobilized the IT community, and thanks to contributions from companies, 100 dialysis catheters were purchased. With these supplies, the hospital will be able to perform procedures consistently for a month.

On February 3, the catheters were delivered to the Kharkiv military hospital.
