#SchooLeadCommunity — an ongoing initiative of the Kharkiv IT Cluster, supported by the Kharkiv City Council’s Department of Education and Department of Digital Transformation, aimed at collaborating with student government bodies

Being part of a student council is a daily thrill and challenge. It’s about the ability to bring classmates together, generate ideas, organize school events, find common ground with the administration, and bring to life what others think is impossible.

Developing Leadership Skills in Online and Offline Formats

The project brings together active young people through thematic online meetings and practical in-person events. The primary goal of these activities is to develop skills that will help students realize their potential, improve the school environment, foster the city's development, and build a successful future.

As part of the #SchooLeadCommunity, we host workshops, interactive training sessions, and meetings with top IT experts on the most relevant topics:

  • soft skills and leadership: how to lead a team and motivate others;
  • effective communication: the secrets to successful public speaking and negotiations;
  • event management: how to organize a school event (from concept to execution) that everyone will remember;
  • personal effectiveness: time management for activists who want to do it all—study and create awesome projects;
  • social initiatives: how to drive change that benefits your school and city.

Learning is just the beginning!

The project brings together active student government teams from schools and lyceums into a single, powerful ecosystem where you can:

  • learn from the best practices and experiences of activists from other parts of the city;
  • create joint inter-school and city-wide projects;
  • get informational support for your initiatives through the Kharkiv IT Cluster’s resources;
  • invite awesome IT speakers to events at your school.
